SafeBloc
A SafeBloc is an accessory device, which can be used with other test equipment, as an adapter, to connect and test power cords and wiring harnesses for production testing purposes, prior to installation into equipment. Such testing would include Hipot and continuity testing of the power cord or wiring harness. The SafeBloc allows the bare wires of a power cord or wiring harness to be connected to the test equipment via clips inside the enclosure. Power can only flow through the device once it is closed and the test sequence is then started, ensuring that the test operator will not get shocked during the testing procedure. Power cord manufacturers and CEMs manufacturing custom wiring harnesses would be typical users of such a device.

Wireless In-Circuit Test Fixtures
Higher density more complex circuit boards complicate testing requirements while smaller more tightly spaced test pads create a wiring challenge for the fixture fabricators, test engineers and maintenance personnel. Our 40-110 and 40-115 range of reed relay switching modules are available in both Changeover (SPDT) and Normally Open (SPST & DPST) configurations. Connections are made via a front panel 96 pin male micro-D connector. For applications requiring improved bandwidth and crosstalk performance please look at our 40-120/125 range of shielded reed relay cards. General purpose reed relays are suitable for the construction of small switching networks, for slaving up to larger switches or for operating external devices (e.g. lamps, solenoids etc.). To simplify inter-relay wiring, interconnection points are built onto the circuit board thus easing the construction of complicated wiring.

The Model 4013 extensometer meets the requirements of ASTM D5656 for measuring the strain properties of an adhesive in shear. It uses different contact point spacing compared to the extensometer shown in D5656. This makes it much easier to mount and eliminates the slippage problems associated with the design shown in the ASTM standard. The Model 4013 is available with all of Epsilon’s temperature configurations. It has a 3.0 mm (0.12 inches) full scale measuring range. The conical point contacts included with the extensometer are made from tungsten carbide.The Model 4013 extensometers are strain gaged devices, making them compatible with any electronics designed for strain gaged transducers. Most often they are connected to a test machine controller. The signal conditioning electronics for the extensometer is typically included with the test machine controller or may often be added. In this case the extensometer is shipped with the proper connector and wiring to plug directly into the electronics. For systems lacking the required electronics, Epsilon can provide a variety of solutions, allowing the extensometer output to be connected to data acquisition boards, chart recorders or other equipment.
