Right Angle Waveguide to Coax Adapters
Fairview Microwave right angle waveguide to coax adapters include millimeter wave frequency ranges with models in the K-band (18 to 26.5 GHz) up to the V-band (50 to 65 GHz). These right angle waveguide to coax adapters offer excellent VSWR as low as 1.29:1, while also providing insertion loss performance as low as 0.3 dB. Waveguide sizes available for these new 90 degree coaxial adapter models include WR-42, WR-28, WR-22, WR-19 and WR-15. These coax to waveguide adapters in a right angle design are ideal for numerous applications requiring a transition from coaxial cable to waveguide or vice versa, including SATCOM, wireless communications, industrial, test and measurement and defense systems. Fairview’s new waveguide to coax adapter products feature a right-angle configuration, those with 2.92mm connectors use a UG-style square waveguide flange, 2.4mm and 1.85mm connector versions use a UG-style circular waveguide flange. The 1450B outputs can be configured as sine waves or square waves and can provide frequencies of 10MHz, 1MHz, 100kHz, 1pps or optional signal generator outputs. The signal generator outputs use direct digital synthesizer (DDS) technology and are confirurable from 100Hz to 171MHz. The 1450B also includes a 1pps input that can be used to discipline and automatically calibrate the 1450B. The 1pps input signal is typically obtained from an external device like a GPS frequency receiver/antenna. The measuring instrument type TAND220A complies with the international standard IEC 61620. The instrument is based on the so-called "low-amplitude, low-frequency alternating current square wave method" and allows accurate measurements of conductivity and relative permittivity. Conductivity measurement in the range of 0.01 pS/m to 20,000 pS/m allows the use of this instrument for quality control of high resistivity liquids even at room temperature. The TAND220A works with a low test voltage and also with a low test current so that it does not represent a danger for the operators.

High Voltage Power Supplies
The mains voltage (230V / 3 x 400V) is transformed, rectified and filtered by the HN series. The direct current output voltage is tuned by a variable transformer or regulated by a thyristor controller. With the HS and HV series the rectified mains voltage is supplied to a frequency converter, which produces a mid-frequency square wave voltage. This transformed, rectified and filtered alternating current produces the desired voltage as output, which is regulated by means of frequency variation or pulse width modulation. The equipment in the HV series supply, in addition to the high voltage output, up to 3 auxiliary outputs which can be used to supply e.g. heating, grid voltage or surge voltage.

Positive Displacement (PD) Meters
Positive Displacement (PD) flow meters are volumetric flow measurement instruments ideal for low flow rates, highly viscous fluids, and measurement of flows involving starts and stops or pulsing. Positive displacement flow meters are similar in design to the gear pump. The principle of operation is reversed however; instead of the gears driving the fluid, the fluid drives the gears. A non-intrusive hall-effect sensor detects the movement of the gear and as each gear tooth passes the sensor, a square wave pulse is produced and a discrete volume of liquid is measured. The resulting pulse train is proportional to the actual flow rate and provides a highly accurate representation of the fluid flow.

Sinusoidal Pattern Arrays are manufactured on two different materials for both reflective and transmissive applications. Because of the inherent limitations of reflective materials, the maximum spatial frequency of the reflective pattern arrays is limited to 20 cycles per mm, while the transmission film arrays are offered in various sizes up to 256 cycles per mm. In addition, the sinusoidal arrays are available in a Single Frequency Grating or with Multi-Frequency Gratings.
