Force Sensors
General purpose force sensors are offered in either stud or axial mounted configurations. They are internally pre-loaded and can be used for dynamic compression, tension, and impact force measurements. Tapped mounting holes on both ends of the radial connector style support link, platform, integrated link, and free-standing installations. The axial mounted type offers protection of the electrical connector and sensor cable from potential damage during drop testing and in free-standing installations. Supplied impact caps facilitate impact and drop force measurements.

Force Gauges
A digital force gauge, often called a push pull force gauge or tension and compression force gauge, is used in material testing, quality control and assurance, research, development, product testing, laboratory and educational applications. PCE Instruments' (PCE) digital force gauge products are the benchmark of quality and performance. PCE digital force gauge devices provide measurements in kilograms (kg), grams (g), ounces (oz), pounds (lbs) and Newtons (N) of force (f), depending on the force gauge model. Most PCE digital force gauge products are handheld, portable devices that also can be used with a universal test stand. There are several different force gauge products available online in the PCE web shop.

Mechanical Force Gauges
Imada mechanical force gauges are highly accurate instruments used to test the quality, strength or functionality of component parts or products. Imada mechanical force gauges check both compression and tension (push or pull). Peak force can be captured using the peak indicator needle and the tare ring compensates for the weight of attachments. Imada force gauges are constructed with a heavy-duty metal case and all metal components to enable them to retain their calibration for years with proper care. These mechanical force gauges never need charging or batteries and are intrinsically safe in hazardous environments.

Force Sensors
The Force Sensors segment includes a broad line of load cells and force measurement transducers that are offered as precision sensors for industrial and commercial use. Typical applications for force sensors are in medical devices (such as hospital beds and medication dosing), agricultural equipment (for precision force measurement), and construction machinery (for tipping and overload protection). These sensors use our foil technology products, which serve as sensing elements and components within each unit. Further integration of our load cells technology is also offered as part of our weighing module products, which provide customers with a complete sensor assembly that may be used within a wide variety of digital transducers.
