This is important in applications such as factory automation where camera frame rate has a direct relationship to the speed of a conveyor belt, for example. By using a faster camera, the high frame rate allows an assembly line to increase the speed at which products are being inspected. An example of this is with flat panel inspection where the speed of inspection can increase by taking a greater number of images with the high frame rate of the Lt-C/M1950, effectively increasing the potential production.
