Energized Cable Sensor
The purpose of the Energized Cable Sensor is to allow the lineman to readily determine whether a URD cable is energized. The sensor consists of an amplifier which is designed to give a meter reading when the small AC voltage between the semi-conductive sheath and the concentric neutral of the energized URD cable is applied to the test probe. The amplifier is housed in a rugged phenolic case. Sensor may be used to check for energized condition on concentric-neutral cable below an elbow without test points. At cable mid-span (left), hose clamps bridge all strands of concentric neutral at the test location. Sensor’s neutral lead clips to one of the hose clamps. Tip on probe lead contacts only semi-conductive cable sheath to test for voltage presence.

The heatsink consists of the main heatsink body, a DC fan and a heat spreader. The heat spreader is also known as adapter, which is used to bridge the mounting gap between the heat sink main body and the to-be-heat-sunk devices, such as power amplifier, frequency active multiplier, oscillator, transmitter and transceiver due to various mounting hole locations. The heat spreader offers various mounting patterns to accommodate more than 15 product models. This heatsink is not only designed for Eravant's standard products and Uni-Guide™ featured products, but also for many industrial standard microwave and millimeter wave products offered by other manufacturers. 6000 Series Analog I/O Modules
Series 6000 analog I/O modules condition, amplify, filter and digitize signals from virtually any transducer. All modules have conditioning & amplifier per channel and nearly all modules allow for setting bridge completion, shunt calibration, transducer power, gain, etc. individually per channel. Following the conditioning/amplifier stage, multi-pole Bessel or Butterworth analog filters are provided on each channel and can be set or bypassed individually by program control. A number of the modules include a high level analog output providing a conditioned/filtered output to a redundant, external A/D system. A 16-Bit Successive Approximation A/D follows the analog filter stage. Some modules use a single A/D with sample and hold while others have an A/D per channel. Sample rates are programmable per channel to easily accommodate mixing high and low speed measurements into a single data stream. Programmable hardware based warnings and alarms are included in the channel-by-channel architecture and are detected by digital output modules in the system, providing an ultra-low latency control capability directly from the data acquisition system.
