The input section features the unique servo bias input circuitry with a standard TA5M type jack for use with electret lavaliere mics, dynamic mics, or line level signals. A DSP-controlled analog audio limiter is employed before the A-D converter. The limiter has a range of more than 30 dB for excellent overload protection and a dual release envelope that makes the limiter acoustically transparent while maintaining low distortion. The limiter recovers quickly from brief transients, with no audible side effects, and also recovers slowly from sustained high levels to keep audio distortion low while preserving short term dynamics.

The ADLINK PCIe/PXIe-9529 is a high-performance, high density, 8-CH analog input dynamic signal acquisition module. The PCIe/PXIe-9529 features eight 24-bit simultaneously sampling analog input channels. The 24-bit sigma-delta ADC provides a sampling rate of 192 kS/s at high resolution, making it ideal for higher dynamic range signal measurement. All channels are sampled simultaneously and accept input range up to ±10V, and the analog inputs support software-selectable AC or DC coupling and 4 mA bias current for integrated electronic piezoelectric (IEPE) sensors. The TIA-4000 is comprised of a fibre coupled InGaAs APD detector combined with a variable reverse bias voltage network and fast transimpedance amplifier. The output of the unit is brought out to a type K female SMA connector. Light falling on the detector generates a positive-going proportional current. This current, multiplied by the transimpedance produces a voltage that is proportional to the light incident on the detector surface.
