Fully Differential Amplifiers
Differential amplifiers allow the process of single-ended input to complementary differential outputs or differential inputs to differential outputs. These amplifiers feature two separate feedback loops to control the differential and common-mode output voltages. Analog Devices fully differential amplifiers are configured with a VOCM pin, which can be easily adjusted for setting output common-mode voltage. PWM to Voltage Output D/A Converters
Analog Devices’ pulse-width modulation (PWM) to voltage output D/A converters convert a PWM input to an accurate, stable, buffered voltage without the ripple, slow settling, and external passive components of discrete filter implementations. The USB 3.1 specifications has three major features which are 10Gbit/s transmission speed, USB PD (Power Delivery) with support for 100 watt charging power, and the standard Type-C connector/cable that can be inserted with either side. It is expected to meet all kinds of data / video transfer applications. The advent of USB PD may consolidate the specifications of various power converters and the laptop, monitor, printer or Hub that implements USB PD is no longer a simple power-consuming device but able to supply power to other devices. The USB PD DRP (Dual role port) function allows the built-in USB PD module to deliver a maximum of 100 watts of power through the Type-C interface. To make sure the USB PD Type-C output power does not supply invalid voltage or poor power output characteristics with excessive noise that can damage the power consuming device and cause unsuccessful startup, each USB PD power supply or module has to be fully tested during production to ensure the product features meet the design specifications. Energy Saving Static Converter
The ENERGY SAVING static converter serves to generate a controlled squarewave single-phase alternate voltage (low frequency: 25 ÷ 125Hz) for industrial applications requiring high load power supplied by an external matching transformer. The power supply, sectioned by remote control switch and external fuses, is fed by a three-phase electric line via uncontrolled diode bridge and filtered by inductor and capacitor battery. Qualification and Quality Control Tests

New IEC standards, IEC 60034-18-41 and IEC 60034-18-42, have been issued to define the procedures for testing partial discharge inception voltage and the long-term performance (endurance) of Type I and Type II insulation systems used in rotating machines fed from voltage converters. Voltage impulse generators are required at least to test turn insulation, but they would be recommended for any testing under power electronics supply because of their capability to simulate the real electrical stress conditions. More generally, any type of electrical insulation system when subject to impulsive voltage waveform during life should be carefully evaluated in terms of partial discharge and endurance behaviour. This is why voltage impulse generators able to provide impulses with controlled amplitude and frequency are needed to face this new testing challenge.
