In-Circuit Test
In-circuit test works by checking all components are fitted correctly to the PCB and are within the correct electrical tolerance. In-circuit testers do this by interfacing to the board via a "bed of nails test fixture" and programs can be generated via CAD data. They offer a quick and easy method of checking the manufacture of the board and also offer a reliable and simple fault report.

The JT 2139 is a TAP signal isolation module designed for use in combinational test systems that utilise multiple instrument interfaces. To avoid parasitic capacitance effects and/or unwanted ground loops the JT 2139 can be used to completely galvanically isolate any JTAG Technologies boundary-scan controller from the remainder of the instrumentation system. 85024A high-frequency probe makes it easy to perform in-circuit measurements. An input capacitance of only 0.7 pF shunted by 1 megohm of resistance permits high frequency probing without adversely loading the circuit under test. Excellent frequency response and unity gain guarantee high accuracy in swept measurements with this probe. High probe sensitivity and low distortion levels allow measurements to be made while taking advantage of the full dynamic range of RF analyzers.

The Chameleon
The Circuit Check kit called the Chameleon allows easy re-use of a majority of an ICT fixture’s major components. The Chameleon includes a full size probe plate and interface alignment plate so all valuable tester resources are available. The probe plate assembly is held in place with twelve (12) screws and the vacuum box’s interchangeable push plate is easily replaced by removing four (4) shoulder screws.
