Ethernet
The UNH-IOL has been providing Ethernet testing services since its inception in 1988. We have a strong and wide-reaching industry reputation and participate in many industry organizations including the IEEE, the Ethernet Alliance, and the OpenAlliance. We were honored to receive the IEEE-SA Corporate Member of the year award in 2013 for "unwavering contributions to interoperability testing of IEEE standards".

NVMe Testing Software
IOL INTERACT™
IOL INTERACT™ software expedites and automates the testing of NVMe SSDs and NVMe-oF products. It is used to test products for inclusion on the NVMe Integrator's List. Members of the UNH-IOL NVMe Testing Services are entitled to a copy of INTERACT™ for in-house testing to ensure that their products will meet the Integrator's list requirements when submitted for testing. While most test requirements can be performed with the PC edition tool, a subset of tests specific to PCIe products are only available on the Teledyne-LeCroy tool, which require low level traffic generation capability.

QualiPhyer Tools
QualiPhyer is a family of software packages used to test a product’s conformance to IEEE 802.3™ and MIPI Alliance electrical and optical standards for Ethernet and MIPI devices. These packages can be used to control oscilloscopes and traffic generators over Ethernet or GPIB connections to test the physical layer characteristics of devices. The software processes waveforms from the scopes to produce results based on algorithms developed at the UNH-IOL.

Time Sensitive Networks
Time Sensitive Network (TSN) standards enable deterministic real-time communication over Ethernet, allowing solutions to be built to provide extremely precise, predictable timing and control across the network. By adding features to Ethernet such as time synchronization, ingress policing, seamless redundancy, frame preemption, scheduled traffic, and stream reservation, TSN ensures data is not delayed by the network.

Test Fixture
OCP NIC 3.0
These test fixtures are necessary for testing within the OCP NIC subgroup (found under the OCP Server Work Group). These fixtures will arrive meeting the OCP NIC 3.0 Specification with a characterization of the boards. These fixtures mate with the OCP form factor connector, and will allow an electrical break out of each signaling lane.

Certification Programs
With the intention of creating confidence among customers and facilitating interoperability across multi-vendor networks, the UNH-IOL has partnered with several industry forums to create certification programs. Testing plays a large part in these certification programs, and the use of independent third-party test houses, like us, is key to their success. We do not certify devices, rather we supply unbiased information these certification programs need to accurately certify devices
