Safety Switches

If doors, flaps and covers need to remain closed for safety reasons during the operation of machines, then safety switches for position monitoring and for the protection of personnel and systems are required. The safety switches of the S20 and S200 series with their robust housings and wide range of installation options can be used universally. The S300 position switches monitor the reaching of final positions. Variants with plunger and various actuators enable optimum adaptation to the installation situation. The S400 safety hinge switches unite the safety switch and door hinge functions in one component.

Measuring Fork Sensors

With the sensors, an infrared light-band illuminates a CCD line. A passing object can thereby be measured by its occlusion. The resolution of 14 µm and the high reproducibility enable the reliable measurement of very fine yarns and wires. The variety of implementable measurement functions enables the position detection of transparent edges, the determination of the thinnest or thickest wire and much more. The vacuum resistance of the devices also enables use in carbon fiber production.

Safety Controls

The compact MSI 400 safety controls evaluate the signals of a wide range of safety sensors and are used with small- to medium-sized machines for monitoring the safety circuit. With their configurable safety functions, they can very easily be adapted to the respective requirements. The MSI-MD-FB muting interface controls the muting function for access guarding on conveyor lines. It is used in combination with the ELC and MLC safety light curtains as well as the MLD multiple light beam safety devices.

Optical data transmission for RS interfaces and fieldbuses up to 300 m and up to 2 Mbit/s. Infrared data transmission protects the DDLS 200 from interference. Systems are available for all common industrial fieldbus interfaces. The ranges are stepped and reach a maximum transmission distance of 300 m. Low ambient light sensitivity through special FSK method. Available interfaces: PROFIBUS, Interbus and CAN/DeviceNet, as well as RS422 and RS 485.

Safety Command Devices

Contrast Sensors

The detected contrasts marks are then reported to the process with minimal signal jitter. Sensors for Contour Measurement

The CMS 700i 3D contour measurement system detects the length, width, height, deformations and position of any objects as they pass by, independent of their shape and surface.
